As Autumn sets in, your skin may need a little extra TLC
Cold winds are just one part of a preventable skin problem. Throw into the mix, moisture sapping effects of your central heating and you’ve got yourself a potential problem for your skin. Help is at hand. It’s time to reassess your skincare products for Autumn. Make sure they’re going to give your skin the extra TLC it needs.
Without good protection, your skin barrier (the uppermost layer that keeps the ‘good stuff’ in and the ‘bad stuff’ out). may become damaged. Not only letting your essential oils and moisture escape but letting environmental aggressors in. This causes damage at cellular and surface levels of your skin.
Extreme changes of temperature will play havoc if your skin is not protected
Protect your skin during Autumn and Winter. Don’t put away your SPF! Sun protection is the best weather protection. UV is often still high during Autumnal walks at the weekend. Standing on the side-lines at a Saturday morning football match, with the wind biting your cheeks. These will all call for some extra TLC, as will the change of temperature from your warm home or office to the cold outside.

Product layering is King
For the ultimate protection fine layers of product will give you the best protection. Just like a professional nail treatment. Your nail varnish or gel isn’t applied in one thick layer.
You get a base coat, 2 layers of colour and a topcoat. This gives your nails the protection they need. It’s the same with your skin. But you’ll be using a Concentrate as your base coat e.g Concentrate for Dry Skin. Followed by a Skin Defence Cream i.e Dry Skin Rich Cream and your topcoat or skin armour is your Daily DNA Defence SPF30.
Fail to protect and your skin will take control (but not in good way)!
Without the protection provided by your products. Your skin will form its own protective barrier - nothing will get in. Skincare ingredients will sit superficially on your skin’s surface, giving little result. Nothing can get out (trapped oil) blackheads may form under your skin, with no natural way out they’re really difficult to treat at home.
