Now let us share with you our personal pre-party skin secrets.

From the Founders of Katherine Daniels. Kirsti and Donna share how they get their skin ‘party fit’ in super quick time.

You’ll need 45 minutes - 1 hour (or split your treatment time and take care of your body in the morning and your face pre make-up). Our ideal is this, plan to ‘check out' of life for the full 60 minutes. And grab some ‘you time.’

Body prep

No-one likes to see dry crepey skin on display. Dry skin looks dull, it feels uncomfortable and rough to touch. The secret to smoothness is to get as much moisture into your skin. This will plump it, which in turn will reduce signs of crepiness. It will feel soft, look more supple and dewy .

Tip: The closer you do this to the time you go out, the better your skin will look. And the longer it will look better throughout the evening.

Gentle Oil & Salt Exfoliator

Stand on a bath mat and massage the product over your body. Start at your feet and work your way up. Pay attention to dry knees and elbows. The backs of your arms will no doubt need some attention. Go gently over your inner arms but do include them. From top to bottom. Remember the back of your hands too.

Your skin is likely to go pink. This is good and shows that oxygenated blood is coming to your skin’s surface. It won't stay pink for long.

Shower off the salt. Don’t use soap or gel on the areas you’ve exfoliated. This will remove the essential oils from your skin. It’s an added layer of goodness. Gently pat your skin until it’s nearly dry. Keeping moisture in your skin will help to max the hydration levels.

Nourishing Hydrating Balm

Massage this product all over your body. Take a little time to really massage it in. Like all our products they work sitting on your skin’s surface. The key ingredients work better from within your skin. Go to town on the inside of your upper arms, from the front to the back. The delicate skin here needs extra TLC daily to help it keep its structure. Sadly, this area is often forgotten. If you’re going to have knees or elbows on show, take some extra care here. Remember the back of your hands too.

Facial prep

Off with the dry, skin dulling dead cells and ‘hello’ to smooth, glowing skin. Once you’ve reached the silky oil phase of application introduce either your Deep Cleansing and Skin Rejuvenating System or the Deep Cleansing & Exfoliating Discs. Work over your skin for a deeper exfoliation.

Instant Effect Eye Mask

Activate and apply. For visibly smoother skin around your eyes this is a must have. The deeper your lines, the longer you leave them the better. 20 minutes gives you impressive results and then switch them to your upper eye lids for 20 minutes and then your upper lip for 20 minutes.

Don’t worry you can get on with anything else you need to do during this time. We activate the mask with the perfect amount of liquid, no dripping or slipping. But if you can sit down and relax for at least 20 minutes, do it.

While it’s deep cleansing it’s not harsh or stripping, it will enhance most skin types and conditions. Even a dry skin will enjoy the skin perfecting result, but not recommended for very red sensitive skin.

Apply your favourite Katherine Daniels Step 2 – Skin Boost. Your Concentrate and Multi-Tasking Eye & Lip Balm. Remember they work better within your skin. Take time to massage them in.

And finally apply Daily DNA Defence SPF30.

What an SPF! Yes! It's also the best make-up primer we have ever used. Keeping your make-up in place for as long as you want it. Our ultra-light fluid transforms into an invisible veil. With no oily or white residue. It becomes your final coat of skin armour to protect against UV, blue, light and pollution particles. OK so probably not much UV inside at a party but for everything else, you’re protected.
